Member Volunteer Opportunities

USA Dance is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization, and this is your chapter. As dancers and members, we can help each other and have fun doing it and make our monthly dance and other special events the best experience for all and for new guest. We invite you to volunteer a small amount of time before and after our events.

The Board consists of about 6 volunteers who regularly meet and plan events. One commitment we make is to serve at our monthly dances with setting up the room and food and then at 11 pm to straighten the room and leave a clean studio as good stewards of the ballroom studio where we rent. This is your chapter and volunteers make a great chapter and pleasant dance experience.

Please volunteer to help clean up tables, put away chairs after each dance. Please ask one of the board members, what can I do, and you can join us so we can all leave early.

Here are some suggestions to Volunteer for:

Monthly Dance Setup—meet us at 6:30 pm at the event to arrange tables, set up our food display, prepare and arrange food trays.

After Dance Clean Up—the best help is to stay after the dance and help us clean up and organize the chairs and tables, this might only take an extra 10 minutes but is a big help.

Suggested Volunteering opportunities at our Special Events:

1. Join our Demonstration Team as an amateur performer at an "outreach" event

2. Invite other dancers to come to our dances. Please help us reach new guest and share the dance passion.

3. Invite a beginner dancer to our dance and assist them to learn ballroom dancing

4. Volunteer to bring food and set up the food tables

5. Finding high level dance performers to put on a dance show at a chapter dance

6. Telling people at dance studios and other events about USA Dance and our dance party.

7. Teaching basic dance lessons to high schools and teen groups

Please contact us if you would like to help in any way or just approach us at the next dance party to offer help
